There are indeed several common types of fluid pump valves based on their structure and working principles, each with unique characteristics and suitable applications.

Butterfly Valve: It features a simple structure, flexible operation, small size, light weight, low operating torque, small installation space, and minimal fluid resistance. Widely used for controlling medium and small-diameter pipelines in systems such as water supply and drainage, firefighting, gas media pipelines, metallurgy, food, chemical industry, environmental protection, energy, and textiles.
Gate Valve: It can completely cut off the flow of fluid, has good sealing performance when closed, and the sealing surface is less prone to wear when opened. Used in situations requiring strict flow control, such as steam and oil pipelines.

Ball Valve: It has a compact structure, good sealing, easy operation, low fluid resistance, and is suitable for fluid control under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. Commonly used in systems such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, power generation, construction, heating, water supply and drainage, air conditioning, gas transportation, and firefighting.

Globe Valve: It features low fluid resistance, easy opening and closing, unrestricted flow direction, no disturbance to flow, no pressure reduction, and minimal sealing surface erosion and corrosion from the medium. Can be used in most switching operations, non-vibrating hydrocarbons, and public facilities.

Check Valve: Ensures that the medium flows in only one direction, preventing backflow, and is particularly suitable for installation at pump outlets, steam trap outlets, and other places where backflow is not allowed.

In addition, there are various other types such as plunger valves, safety valves, throttle valves, pressure reducing valves, each with specific application scenarios and advantages. For example, plunger valves are suitable for high-pressure, low-flow transport, while pressure reducing valves are used to reduce the medium pressure to a required outlet pressure and rely on the medium's energy to automatically maintain stable outlet pressure.

When choosing fluid pump valves, it is necessary to consider specific application requirements, the nature of the medium, working pressure, temperature, etc., to ensure that the selected valves can meet system requirements and achieve efficient and stable operation.
